Our Resource and Marketing Assistant Ellie took the long way home yesterday and Monday night turned out to be more fun than she expected….
Monday is typically known as the worst day of the week. Not for me! Last night I hit the streets of Sheffield City Centre to go “elephant hunting”. The herd of Sheffield is the biggest public art event that Sheffield city has ever seen and it’s all in aid of the Sheffield Children’s Hospital. All together there are 58 elephants across the city, each elephant has been created by different businesses, communities, artists, individuals and schools. It brought a real sense of warmth and community seeing how each elephant had a different meaning, name and was supported by different people but it was all to support the same thing.
So, if you find yourself stuck for something to do elephant herding is the perfect option to brighten up your day. Go find the 58 elephants around the city take a selfie with them and show your support towards the Sheffield Children’s Hospital. You can find where all the elephants are located, their names and who they are sponsored by, by using the link below. – http://www.herdofsheffield.com/the-trail/ (My favourite is Ellie, this elephant is found at Devonshire Green).
