Open Evenings and Workshops
In July 2009 we hosted our first Candidate Interactive Workshop which was a free session aimed at candidates seeking professional employment.
Held at our offices in Sheffield, city centre
The event was an invitation to explore current job opportunities within Sheffield and gain practical advice & information on interview technique, CV writing and job hunting! The open evening was aimed specifically at increasing employee potential in the current challenging jobs market and was a chance for potential candidates to improve their interview skills and maximise their potential. The session was also an opportunity to meet Benchmark Consultants, talk about specific job opportunities and gain valuable advice on creating the perfect CV
A top client of Benchmark was also invited and came along to present and give tips and advice on what to do / what not to do at interview!
We are hoping to host our next session in October this year, so for further information or to register your interest please email amy@benchmarkrecruit.co.uk
Interactive Assistance
In addtion to the preparation above, we would also encourage our candidates to check out interactive job-based websites for further hints and tips on how to practise and perfect your interview technique.
The best one we have found is www.jobsite.co.uk/bemyinterviewer where you can utilise interactive videos with the help of leading industry professionals. This savvy site site is designed to provide job-seekers with valuable and practical advice to help prepare you for the toughest questions / interview scenarios you are likely to face through the assembly of a panel of successful businesspeople to interview you via video clip. In addition to their difficult questions, they give candidates invaluable guidance on how to answer them and what they are looking for.
We particularly like Ruth Badger (formerly of The Apprentice fame) and her tough techniques when interviewing for Sales professionals!
