At Benchmark we’re all about the ‘fun and enjoy’ and we celebrate this as being a key driver in terms of team spirit and motivation. Whether it involves beer or good old fashioned fresh air, for which our outdoor city is renowned, there are plenty of options to choose from for team building in and around Sheffield.
If you’re a sporty bunch the Hathersage outdoor lido is definitely made for summer nights. Hathersage pool have themed music nights and in weather like this you could almost feel as though you were abroad! You could even get the train out to Hathersage from Sheffield station and then grab some food at one of the many local hang outs.
Rother Valley – Sheffield Aqua Park
For the more extreme teams this is a physical challenge they won’t forget in a hurry – think Total Wipeout Yorkshire style! Located at Rother Valley the Sheffield Aqua Park experience will be one to remember.
Sheffield Round walk
The outdoor city’s Sheffield Round Walk 15 mile loop presents lots of opportunities to visit the green spaces in Sheffield; take in part of the route and tie in well deserved refreshments for either a late lunch or a pub tea.

This experience will certainly raise your team spirits and is a fab way to create fun at your office, line up some summer sports day activities too and you’ll be in for a memorable session.
Go Ape (Sherwood Pines)
Push your teams limits with this high wire entertainment. Go Ape isn’t just for kids, there are some great challenges that will see your team bonding through fear and the buzz of completing the challenge. And for when the weather isn’t quite so favourable (hard to believe right now)…
Treehouse Board Game Café
Our BM team trialed the Treehouse Board Game Café and it was a real hit with all of us – everything from retro games to the more contentious ‘Cards of Humanity’. The added bonus is they serve great food and drink too so you can make an afternoon and evening of it all!
Sheffield Picture House
Table tennis certainly brings out competitive personalities and is a fun way to spend an evening. This cool hangout is a great place to go and with the Broadfield over the road you can certainly fill an entire evening.
The Great Escape Game
The original Sheffield escape experience Great Escape gets rave reviews every time. The BM team braved the Alcatraz and Homicide experiences and loved the challenge. It’s great team bonding through fear and competitiveness.
