The quarterly CDI (Creative, Digital and IT) Café event is running its final session on Thursday, 14th September focusing on the last stage in the candidate lifecycle, managing employee departures.
The ‘Exiting Gracefully and Disgracefully’ session will be led by Benchmark Managing Director, Louisa Harrison-Walker, and Jay Bhayani from Bhayani HR and Employment Law; they will share advice on handling variations in the workforce and dismissing employees safely. The two have joined forces to champion best practice in the creative and digital businesses, and attract and retain skilled individuals to the Sheffield City Region.
The final session of the quarterly events is being held at the Showroom Bar with key decision makers from Creative, Digital and IT companies drawing on their specialist knowledge to give a fresh insight into candidate requirements.
“This series of events has united CDI businesses in the Sheffield area, allowing business leaders to talk openly about their current practices and learn best practice from a recruitment and legal perspective from Jay and myself. With such huge growth in this sector, it is vital businesses receive the advice and support required to retain quality staff; working to boost Sheffield’s reputation as a digital and creative hub,” said Louisa Harrison-Walker, Managing Director at Benchmark Recruit.
Jay Bhayani from Bhayani HR and Employment Law added: “With the CDI sector there are specific employment law issues to be considered where an employee who leaves can devastate the business. At this last session, I will share some top tips on the practicalities on ending the employment relationship and protect the business.”
The previous sessions have focused on the following candidate areas: ‘Attraction and Onboarding’, ‘Managing, Motivated or Moving On’ and ‘Protecting and Neglecting’.
