Benchmark’s Managing Director, Louisa Harrison-Walker, was highly commended at the Forward Ladies Awards 2017 in the SME Emerging Category on Friday (22nd September) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle.
With 15 business women shortlisted in the category, Louisa received the accolade for her achievements in business, the community and education projects she is involved in the Sheffield City Region.
“The calibre of applications was exceptionally high this year, so we introduced a highly commended list to showcase some of the businesses which may not have won their category but were close behind the winner and deserve recognition for what they have achieved.” Said Griselda Togobo, Forward Ladies Owner and Managing Director.
“ The SME Emerging award was such a strong category I didn’t expect to be highly commended and I was proud to be featured at the awards ceremony. I hope that other female business leaders, and women carving out their career will be inspired to grow in their role and contribute to the vibrant economy of Sheffield. I will continue to work closely with females within Benchmark to help develop and progress their skills through apprenticeships and leadership courses, hoping they will be future Forward Ladies winners. Congratulations to Andrea Eli from Venture Office Supplies who was the overall category winner.” Said Louisa Harrison-Walker, Managing Director at Benchmark.
Louisa is the Managing Director of recruitment company Benchmark which is in its 11th year of trading. She is also the first female to chair Sheffield Chamber Council, Chair of the Common Purpose Advisory board for Sheffield, plus trustee at educational charity Whirlow Hall Farm.
