Benchmark Futures is working with partnership with Sheffield College to host an Apprenticeship Hub to inform young people of the benefits of an Apprenticeship. The unique session will present over 25 office based apprenticeship opportunities with interactive tasks designed to unlock people’s potential and help them clarify which roles are right for them to pursue
For parents looking to guide their child in an education pathway and are interested in them exploring an apprenticeship this is the perfect opportunity or them to encourage their child to find out more. This exclusive event presents real time positions available and demonstrates how students can unlock a career and get paid whilst ‘learning on the job’.
Louisa Harrison-Walker, Managing Director at Benchmark Futures commented: “This Assessment day approach is the first of it’s kind in the city and is an excellent way for young people to uncover if an Apprenticeship is for them. Recent research by the Sheffield City Region Combined Authority into hard to fill vacancies and skill shortages highlighted that most employers look for over a years experience in an applicant; apprenticeships present a fantastic pathway into employment giving them the experience required to quickly become skilled and valued employees.
