Championing the Cause for Local Libraries

Sheffield City Council has announced that our under threat local communities will move into community control. This includes Totley library that our Director Louisa has been campaigning to save.

Since October 2013 Louisa and a team of volunteers have been campaigning hard to keep their local library open. This involved many public meetings, hundreds of consultation responses forms being completed, countless petitions being handed in from residents and school children, a children's survey about how the closure would affect local children's future, and the creation of a group of trustees to devise a business plan of how to run the library as a community resource.
