Benchmark Recruit news
At Benchmark we've switched on a new partnership with Sheffield Digital to become one of their Associate Sponsors. The connection is born of us sharing the same objectives as Sheffield Digital; working to develop digital businesses and attract job seekers in Sheffield and South Yorkshire.
We work extensively with Digital businesses in Sheffield to retain the best talent. In addition Benchmark also operates at grass roots level to develop future digital talent; for the second year running we have sponsored Sheffield City Council's Code>Make>Win awards, encouraging the young digital talent of Sheffield to be creative. We invest back into the digital community by hosting Code Clubs, providing guidance at Sheffield Hallam University and the UTC, and facilitating the CDI Café (an event focused on the employee lifecycle in Creative, Digital and IT businesses). With this in a mind it seems a natural connection to become an Associate Sponsor with Sheffield Digital. We were recently commissioned to undertake for the Sheffield City Region Combined Authority looking into 'Hard to Fill Vacancies and Skill Shortages', this has further expanded our knowledge around the issues the Digital industry face in recruiting specific skills sets. The research highlighted the need to develop talent within the city and attract people from outside the region which is something we are focused on daily in our role as recruiters.
As specialists in Digital Recruitment, we have strong connections with decision makers from tech businesses within Sheffield. From large corporates to creative agencies and start ups, we work to source new employees ensuring a strong skill and culture match, ultimately assisting companies growth. These relationships provide us with an invaluable insight into sector requirements and emerging trends ensuring they have access to a relevant talent pool of candidates.
