Benchmark’s Managing Director, Louisa Harrison-Walker has been appointed on the Higher Education Progression Partnership board after sitting on a panel for the HEPP South Yorkshire Plus (HEPPsy+) conference in 2018.
Louisa's role on the board is to provide an employers perspective, working to address pipelining skills for the future. Benchmark were responsible for the Sheffield City Region report into Hard to Fill Vacancies and Skills Shortages in 2016 which highlighted a need to join up education providers and businesses; particular emphasis in the report was highlighting the need for work placements and providing role models for future generations.
Louisa commented: “I have embraced my role on the HEPP Board, as I see it as a real opportunity to shape the agenda and ensure the skills deficit is being addressed. The HEPP will strive to present more children and young adults with routes into higher education, and in turn employment.”
