The Hours:

Full time 40 hours a week – Monday-Friday 9 am – 5 pm

30-minute lunchbreak – paid


The Salary:

Up to £23,000 DOE


The Job Role:


Due to growth within our client’s business, we have an Accounts and Credit Control Assistant position available. Working within the busy accounts team, the successful candidate will provide support to the team with administrative and credit control duties. This role is well suited to candidates that have experience working within finance and are looking for a varied and fast paced role.


Duties will include the following;


  • Assisting the team with billing customers   
  • Sending invoices to customers
  • Updating systems
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring outstanding debt
  • Taking appropriate action on all overdue invoices
  • Issuing letters to chase overdue invoices
  • Taking payments from customers
  • Handling finance queries from customers
  • Providing administrative support to the accounts team
  • Providing data and analysis on behalf of the accounts team when required


We are looking to speak to candidates that have the following skills and experience;


  • Experience of working within a finance role
  • Experience of credit control
  • AAT qualified or excellent experience within a similar finance role
  • Confident using the full suite of MS Office including Excel
  • Experienced using SAGE
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Professional
  • Confident speaking to customers on the telephone
