The Job Role:
Working alongside the Marketing Manager, the Communications Officer will lead and develop communications and PR across the organisation.
We are looking for an experienced Communications Officer who has strategic experience and is confident working with multiple stakeholders across the organisation. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager but will be given autonomy to successfully lead the communications strategy.
This varied position will include the following;
- Delivery of strategic communications strategies
- Delivery of key communication campaigns and projects
- Developing the communications strategy for the organisation
- Ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to budget
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to offer guidance and support on communications, social media, newsletters, adverts etc
- Supporting the Marketing Manager with developing the organisations digital profile including websites, social media and email marketing
- Drafting a wide range of engaging digital media and communications projects
- Monitoring results of social media and marketing activities
- Assisting with crisis communications plan
- Supporting the organisation with high level visits and activity
- Managing relationships with journalists
- Working collaboratively with the Designer
- Attending events throughout the year
We are looking to speak to candidates who have the following experience;
- 3-5 years’ experience within a similar communications/marketing role
- Strong digital marketing experience
- Demonstrable experience of delivering branding, marketing collateral and digital marketing communications projects
- Social media management experience including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin,
- Design experience using Photoshop/InDesign
- Confident using analytical tools including Google Analytics
- Experience of crisis communications
- WordPress website CMS experience would be advantageous
- Excellent proof reading and Copywriting skills
