The Job Role:
We have a wonderful opportunity available for somebody who loves making an impact and a difference in their local community. Our client delivers training programmes to children who have disabilities and additional needs and due to growth within the organisation, require a Community Recruitment Consultant to join their team.
The successful candidate will work from home but spend approximately 3 days a week working in the communities around the M62 corridor including Leeds, Kirklees, Huddersfield and Manchester. This is the perfect opportunity for somebody who has a passion for working with children, perhaps within education or training – but this is not essential.
Due to rapid growth within the organisation our client requires a Community Recruitment Consultant to attract young children to attend play sessions through community outreach and engagement.
Key duties for this role include the following;
- Attracting participants to play sessions
- Actively working with community groups, charities, organisations, schools and food banks to encourage participation in the groups
- Making strong referral partnerships in the local community
- Working closely with parents and guardians to ensure appropriate support is provided
- Presenting to groups of parents and guardians at schools, organisations, charity groups etc
- Attending sessions when required
- Attending parent/guardian forum meetings
- Meeting SLAs and targets
Key duties required for this role are as follows;
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate to children and adults
- Resilience
- Proactive approach to work – as well as building relationships in the community there are targets and SLAs to hit
- Confidence to speak in front of groups of people
- Experience working within the community
- Ideally experience working with children in education or training
