The Job Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established and highly successful organisation based in Sheffield.

We are looking to speak to experienced Finance Managers who are also strong leaders. Managing a team of 6 finance professionals, the successful candidate will ensure the finance department runs smoothly and that all internal and external deadlines are reached.

 

This varied position will include the following duties;

 

  • Working with the Head of Finance to complete month end, including management accounts and completing VAT returns
  • Responsible for reconciliations
  • Ensuring all financial reporting has been completed on time
  • Monitoring and managing outstanding debt
  • Working closely with auditors and assisting with the annual external audit
  • Management of the billing process for the organisation
  • Managing the finance team ensuring they are provided with the right support
  • Carrying out performance reviews with the finance team
  • Reporting on financial performance
  • Driving improvement processes across the department

The successful candidate will have the following experience;

  • Experience working within a similar role as a Finance Manager
  • Experience managing a team
  • Either working towards or fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT)
  • Confident working in a fast paced environment
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of managing a hybrid team
  • Advanced level Excel skills (including V-Look ups and formulas)
  • Experience of using SAGE
