The Job Role:


Our client, who are an established and well-regarded charity located in Sheffield city centre have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced HR Officer to join their growing team.


This is a part time position, 18.5 hours per week. Our client can be flexible with working hours and days but the successful candidate must be able to work full time on Fridays.


The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working within a HR Officer role and be confident managing the following;


  • Being the first point of contact for staff for any HR questions or concerns
  • Managing the full recruitment process for the organisation including advertising, liaising with agencies, arranging interviews and appointments and coordinating all compliance checks including DBS
  • Arranging training for staff and volunteers
  • Maintaining accurate HR records
  • Monitoring staff absence
  • Preparing HR documentation and correspondence
  • Actively promote health and wellbeing within the workplace
  • Providing HR support to volunteers
  • Actively working on HR Projects as directed by management
  • Providing administrative support to the HR team when required



Our client is looking for an experienced HR Officer who has the following experience;


  • Qualification in HR – CIPD or People Practice (level 3 and above)
  • GCSE (or equivalent) level C/5 in Maths and English
  • Experience of providing HR administrative support
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Exceptional people and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Discreet and always ensuring HR matters and records remain confidential
  • Pro active and confident working autonomously
  • Confident managing HR policies and procedures
  • Strong IT skills and confident using the full suite of MS Office
