Monday-Friday alternate shift pattern 7 am – 4 pm / 8.30 am – 5.30 pm

Working one in every three Saturdays  9 am – 1 pm (one full day taken back the next week)

Our client’s boutique hotel and stunning apartments are set within four acres of beautiful and scenic grounds in Hull.


We have an opportunity available for an Operations Manager who is passionate about working with customers and assisting with the management and operations of this beautiful hotel and living space.


The successful Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business. This will be an incredibly varied role contributing to guest services, facilities, revenues, performance objectives and property management. This is a multi-faceted role covering the hotel, reservations, operations, management and lettings.


The Operations Manager will oversee all operations of the business, ensuring that employees are supported and empowered and ensuring that optimum performance is being delivered at all times. The main five areas that the successful candidate will be responsible for is; guest services, employee satisfaction, property appearance and health and safety.  As Operations Manager the successful candidate will have an active role in ensuring continuous improvements and development of the business and its operations.


Duties for the successful role holder will include the following;


  • Management of a team of 7
  • Contributing to HR matters including recruitment of new staff
  • Training and development of the team
  • Managing performance including PDPs and appraisals
  • Promotion of healthy work-life-balance within the team
  • Guest relations – ensuring customers are at the heart of the business
  • Ensuring quality standards are always met
  • Management of reservations
  • Preparation of agreements/contracts
  • Ad hoc administrative and customer service duties


We are looking to speak to candidates that love to roll their sleeves up and get stuck into a busy, fast paced and varied role.  This position has exciting progression opportunities with development into an Operations Manager role.


It would be advantageous for candidates to have experience working for a hotel. Full training will be provided for the lettings side of the business. 


Applicants should be confident using IT including the full suite of MS Office. Applicants will ideally have knowledge of OTAs and channel management.
