Regional Manager – 1-year contract from August 2019 

The Location:

Central and Eastern England

The Hours:

Full time 35 hours per week.

The Salary:

£28,000 to  £32,000 DOE

The Job Role:

We are representing Fareshare who are a food redistribution charity who are tackling food waste.  Fareshare have 21 regional centers across the UK, and this position will be specifically covering central and Eastern England.

As Regional Manager, you will be responsible for developing stakeholder relationships in your area.  This will involve managing a team of Community Coordinators who are field based and day to day building relationships with local charities and retailers. As Regional Manager, you will oversee the relationships with charities and retailers. 

The successful candidate for this role will be measured on the following;

Team Performance - Managing a team of Community Coordinators ensuring all deliver on agreed KPIs. You will recruit, train and manage all Community Coordinators.

Food Safety – Ensuring your team are adhering to Fareshare’s guidelines on food safety, quality and data security

Fareshare Network Engagement – Working closely with other partners in your regional area. Managing relationships with your regional centre and working closely with the charities Fareshare serve.

Retailer Engagement – Overseeing the management of both charity and retailer relationships across the region.  Ensuring stakeholders are kept in regular contact and managing any difficult situations professionally.

Food Industry Engagement – Attending networking events in your region.  Providing account management for all stakeholders.

Community Engagement – Ensuring all networking events are maximised within your region. Responding to queries and providing professional expertise where required

Essential criteria for this position includes the following;

  • Line management experience including managing team performance, providing ongoing training and support
  • Experience of managing budgets and team expenses
  • Strong account management experience
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage own workload
  • Full UK driving license and access to own car and ability to travel extensively across the region

Desirable criteria for this position includes the following;

  • Level 2/3 Food Safety training (training can be provided)
  • Be degree educated, or have strong work experience in a similar role
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM system

This position is a field based role with approximately 3-4 days working within the region and 1-2 days working from home.

You will also be expected to attend regional management meetings every 6 weeks on Sheffield, London or Birmingham.
