The Salary:

£23,000 to £28,000 + company bonus

 

The Job Role:

 

Due to growth within our clients organisation, we have an opportunity available for an experienced Second Line Support Engineer.

 

Working as part of the technical second line support team, the successful candidate will provide support to new and existing customers that have been escalated from the first line support team. We are looking to speak to candidates who have experience within networking, specifically focused on Linux. 

 

Duties for this role will include the following;

 

  • Providing second line support to customers
  • Working through queue of support queries logged
  • Escalating projects to third line support team
  • Monitoring infrastructure
  • Carrying out checks on infrastructure
  • Completing audits as directed
  • Completing approved changes as directed
  • Ensuring KPIS have been met for completion of all second line support queries
  • Management of second line support inbox

 

We would love to speak to candidates who have experience within a networking focused first or second line support role.

 

Skills required for this position include the following;

 

  • Excellent working knowledge of
    • Windows
    • Mac
    • Linux
    • TCP/IP
    • LAN and WAN technologies
  • Experience working within customer support
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Excellent understanding of infrastructure
  • Applicants who speak an additional language would be at an advantage but this is not essential
