The Job Role 

My client is a great software firm based in Sheffield City Centre and they are looking to expand their team to welcome in a new Senior QA Engineer. They are an award winning tech company who have a great working culture and environment and are looking for a dedicated tester join their team and help the quality threshold remain incredibly high. 
The main part of this role will be helping to estimate and create plans for the coordination and exaction of the testing of all projects. The right candidate will have a working knowledge of issue defects, documentation and tracking of all projects. The client is looking for a technical tester who is able to write automated UI tests as well as run UAT session on the client side. An ability to demonstrate and explain applications to prospective clients as well as mentor and improve the junior members of team by passing on experience and best practice. 
Essential skills and personal traits 
A recognised qualification in computing (Degree/HNC/Diploma) or equivalent work experience with at least 4 years working in a QA role. Experience in testing multiple platforms including web, IOS and Android. 
Experience in multiple testing techniques ranging from Exploratory Testing, Session Based Test Management and Regression Testing as well as the non functional testing such as load, performance and stress.
An ability to implement new testing processes and work with the existing team as well as monitor performance and support staff and around them. Experience of implementing new testing processes and ways of working within a QA team whilst sharing knowledge and improving those in the wider team.
Excellent analytical, reporting and problem solving skills with top notch communicational skills a good understanding of test case management, version control and defect tracking.
