The Job Role:

We are representing a growing organisation in Sheffield who are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join their busy Engineering team.

This role, working closely with the Engineering Manager will be varied and will include the following duties;

Administration and operations:

  • Managing health and safety requirements for the department
  • Working closely with HR
  • Arranging servicing on company vehicles
  • General organisation of the engineering department
  • Arranging travel and accommodation when required
  • Creation of site paperwork
  • Project Management support
  • Schedule workloads
  • Ensuring all invoicing up to date
  • Help to improve coordination and communication between engineering department and rest of the business
  • Help implement and refine Salesforce ERP implementation
  • Implementation of ISO 9001

Managing suppliers:

  • Creation of purchase orders
  • Creation of supplier invoices
  • Procurement for the department
  • Contacting suppliers to get up to date prices
  • Arrange for goods to be shipped
  • General supplier management

Business Development and Sales:

  • Producing quotes
  • Keep on top of all incoming engineering requirements
  • Assist with product development and upgrade programme
  • Build and maintain customer asset data base
  • Support with marketing plan

It would be beneficial for candidates to have worked within a technical team, or engineering department.

Applicants should be IT literate and fully proficient using the full suite of MS Office.
