The Job Role
Our client is the UK’s largest food redistribution charity – fighting food poverty by tackling food waste. They currently operate over 21 regional centres and support over 9,600 local charities and communities.
They are looking for a PR and Marketing Officer to join their team, either based in London or Sheffield with regular travel. This role is offered on a 24 month contact with possible extension.
Main Responsibilities of the role include:
-Coordination of marketing activity throughout all regions
-Supporting with shareholders and client communications.
-Act as the marketing lead and PR contact for stores and participating retailers
-Develop content and merchandising for the purposes of promotion
-Track PR and marketing activity to share successes with internal department and external partners
-Support the Social Media tea, with engaging content to promote the charity’s programme.
The ideal candidate will possess at least 3 years experience working in a PR and Marketing function with project planning, story/creative department, delivery, monitoring and evaluation. A strong and professional command of social media is key as well as creating and developing effective email and marketing campaigns whilst managing third parties/external agencies.
