The Job Role

As Research Funding Coordinator, you will be based in the city centre and will provide proactive research support across the business.

The ideal candidate for this role will provide research and support for activities, funding bids, understand research funding pipelines and provide budget support.

Day to day responsibilities will include;

  • Supporting grant applications
  • Liaising with funding bodies
  • Research funding information
  • Provide management information from external and internal databases
  • Support strategy implementation
  • Draft, cost and review applications to ensure compliance

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working within a similar role, ideally with experience of working with higher education but other sectors can be considered.

Applicants should be educated to degree level (or equivalent).

Applicants should have knowledge and experience of providing research support, have experience of preparing budgets and have experience of preparing high level grant applications.

Due to this position involving with stakeholders at different levels, the right candidate for this role will be professional, and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

This position is for an immediate start and will therefore be interviewing at short notice. Applicants will ideally be available immediately and able to commit to the full length of the contract (until end of July 2019).
