The Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm
It is our pleasure to be representing our clients growing and thriving organisation as they recruit an Assistant Branch Manager into the business. Our client are leading manufacturers within their sector.
Working collaboratively with the Branch Manager and Warehouse Manager, this role is critical in ensuring the business runs smoothly and that operationally the business performs efficiently and effectively. We are looking to speak to candidates that already possess leadership qualities, as well as excellent communication skills and a customer focussed problem-solver.
This varied Assistant Branch Manager role will be varied and will involve managing people and processes. Typical duties will include the following; Managing customer sales enquiries, Assisting with the management of the team, Showcasing leadership qualities at all times, Providing motivation and direction to the team alongside the Branch Manager, Keyholder responsibilities involving opening and closing the business, Overseeing stock control, Regular communication with Head Office about stock levels, Producing reports when required for management, Assisting with processing returns, Supporting the Warehouse Manager with deliveries, Assisting the team with routing deliveries, General financial responsibilities including banking and handling cash, Handling customers enquiries and orders face-to-face over the trade counter, Processing orders using the internal CRM system, Handling incoming telephone enquiries from customers, General administrative duties as required.
We would love to hear from candidates that already have experience within a similar, varied and busy role. Applicants that have a Forklift Truck licence will be at an advantage – this is not essential as training can be provided. Experience managing a team would be preferable. Knowledge and confidence working in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment would also be an advantage. Other attributes required for this role include the following; exceptional communication skills, ability to manage a varied, and fast-paced workload, effective time-management skills, IT literate and confident using a range of computer packages including the full suite of MS Office. Flexibility and willingness to support other teams when required.
