The Hours: Full time, Monday – Thursday 8 am – 4 pm, Friday 8 am – 3pm
We are delighted to be representing one of our long-standing clients as they add further headcount into their finance team. The successful candidate will be joining a wonderful company who have created a fantastic working environment.
This is a brilliant role for a Payments Officer to join the company taking responsibility for creating, allocating and collecting direct debit payments. This role will require some administration including downloading, verifying and processing payroll files, processing a daily payment run and managing any cash deposits. This role will be super-fast-paced working to strict deadlines and it is a high-volume role. We are looking to speak to a Payments Officer who really wants to take charge of this part of the finance function.
This varied role will include the following roles and responsibilities; - Generating, sending for collection and allocating weekly and monthly direct debit runs – Responsibility for downloading, verifying and processing payroll files daily – Processing daily payment runs – Verifying finance criteria and ensuring bank details are correct before processing payments – Ensuring confidentiality and GDPR standards are met at all times – Liaising with external auditors – Preparing financial reports – Providing general support including administration support to the finance team when required
We would love to hear from candidates who have the following skills and experience; High level of numeracy skills – Exceptional attention to detail – Confident working in a busy working environment meeting deadlines – Excellent communication skills – Strong IT skills including Excel – Direct Debit experience is preferable – Go Cardless knowledge would be advantageous although not essential – Tech savvy and confident using accountancy software – Personable and enjoys working as part of a busy and collaborative team
