Our Community Activities - Benchmark Recruit

Community Activities

CSR is high on the agenda at Benchmark, and we take a keen interest in community and charity projects in the region.  Our dedication to providing a better future for the next generation is demonstrated by our commitment to divert a % of all profits to two local charities.

Whirlow Hall Farm

Our Managing Director, Louisa Harrison-Walker is a trustee at Whirlow Hall Farm.  The farm is an invaluable educational resource that allows disadvantaged children to experience learning in a farm setting.

“Whirlow Hall Farm Trust provides an opportunity for young people to discover what the countryside and farming have to offer and this can be a life-changing experience for many. However, the Trust receives no grant, or other regular source of income, and without the support of companies like Benchmark maintaining the Whirlow offering would just not be possible. Benchmark supports the Trust in many ways; directly through membership of Whirlow’s 480 Club, which funds school visits; in kind through consultancy support for staff recruitment; and through the time and expertise Louisa personally devotes to Whirlow as one of our Trustees. The Trust is immensely fortunate to have such support,”said Tony Peddar,  Chair of the Trustees at Whirlow Hall Farm.

The Benchmark team are also encouraged to support their chosen charities and are given a day release to encourage them to dedicate time to community projects.

We were absolutely thrilled to have employees from Benchmark Recruit helping out with Neurocare November scarf sales.

Their competition amongst themselves meant they often had the heaviest collection tins of the day and really helped to boost our totals. We are so grateful for their constant enthusiasm and support.
