Twitter LinkedIn Email Louisa
Childhood Ambition: to be a farmer.
Biography: Yorkshire girl born and bred, so it is illegal for her to not like Henderson’s Relish! Louisa heads Benchmark. Her degree in Politics from Leeds Uni only really comes in to play when she has had a drink and fancies a left or right wing rant, depending which Gemini twin she is channeling. After refining her craft and securing the top spot at recruitment super brand Office Angels she persuaded best friend Amy to bring her training and management skills to the table and raise the bar by launching a new brand of recruitment. If Louisa wasn’t a recruitment director she would be a farmer, and in her spare time she is tackling an allotment. Peas, beans, tomatoes, cucumbers; a doddle. She is yet to master sweetcorn.
Twitter LinkedIn Email Jon
Childhood Ambition: to be a Architect
Jon is a home-grown Sheffield lad, so naturally he’s always making the most of the outdoor city. If you don’t find him grilling food on a self-built fire in the woods, then you’ll spot him tackling one of the seven hills on his mountain bike, or even at Bramall Lane supporting his team. After studying at Nottingham University and Sheffield Hallam, Jon left education with degrees in Industrial Management and Quantity Surveying. His interest in construction possibly stemmed from him building tables in the garage as a nipper, although he never trusted the design enough to put anything on them! If Jon wasn’t Benchmark’s Finance Director he would have liked to become an Architect, or a full time campervan man.

In her four years at BM HQ she has has risen through the ranks from Trainee Consultant to now running the good ship Benchmark as Operations Manager; focusing on supporting the team and delivering a quality Benchmark experience. She is also proud Mummy of two cats Marmite and Mabel. When Rebecca isn’t in our HQ you’ll find her residing in her new abode in Kelham Island.

Communications & Marketing Manager
Childhood Ambition: to be a Dairy Farmer
Biography: Lucy is a true Sheffield-er and was brought up on Henderson’s Relish and watching the Blades. She was reluctantly taken over the hills to Manchester as a teenager, but always had a yearning to get back to Sheffield. While in Manchester, Lucy’s Saturday job was working at Manchester City’s ticket office and had the confusing identity of being a red and a blue for a while! When she’s not marketing and communicating, you can find her out on the hills mountain biking or walking her lurcher with a tribe of children. And if it snows there’s no stopping her on her snowboard.
Twitter LinkedIn Email Amelie
Amelie De Candolle
Childhood Ambition: to be an actress
Biography: Say ‘bonjour’ to Amelie who is Parisian born and bilingual in French. With French genes, as you would expect, she has a passion for fashion and is also a keen muso – her specialist subject is the 60’s and 70’s and wishes she could time travel back so she could fully embrace the culture of the time. Amelie moved up North after trying to make it in the music industry in London and deciding to study fashion up North. Her creative mind and love working with creative individuals has led her to work in recruitment and join Benchmark.
Twitter LinkedIn Email Kate
Childhood Ambition: to be a Florist
Biography: Kate came over the borders from the High Peak to Sheffield for her Criminology degree at Sheffield Hallam in 2010, and liked the bright lights of the city so much she stayed! She uses her detective skills regularly to hunt out the best eateries in Sheffield and spends her time recreating dishes at home. She burns off the calories consumed by staying active; whether it’s at the gym or competing in the Sheffield Half Marathon, Kate is always looking for a fitness challenge.
Twitter LinkedIn Email Ellie
Childhood Ambition: to be a firewoman
Biography: Ellie is our second homegrown Benchmark-er, having started out as an apprentice at 18, a year later she became a full time Office Administrator – and was so good she’s been fast tracked to a Marketing Co-ordinator at Benchmark HQ. Ellie is a huge film buff and is able to recite the film Tangled word for word. Last year she had two new additions to her family, and is now known as the ‘silly Auntie’ who can crack a smile out of her niece and nephew even when in the darkest of tantrums. Deep down Ellie is a hopeless romantic and dreams that one day she will marry Tom Hardy. And once that’s done, she’d love nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa on a Sunday afternoon with a big bar of chocolate (with Tom obvs!).
Twitter LinkedIn Email Holly
Childhood Ambition: to be a Chef
Biography: Holly is our new apprentice on the block and is completing a Finance and Business Apprenticeship at Sheffield City College.
