The Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday 9 am – 5.30 pm Office based role
We are thrilled to be representing our client who are an ambitious logistics company who specialise in road freight, air and sea freight and warehousing. Due to expansion within the company we have an opening in their Newcastle office for a Sales Account Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual who has sales and account experience. The successful candidate as Sales Account Manager will be joining an established team of professionals and will be given the opportunity to progress.
As Sales Account Manager, the successful candidate will work to targets and KPIs to deliver an exceptional service to an existing account base. This role will also require new business, establishing new relationships from prospective clients. This is a heavily sales driven role which will require resilience. The role will also involve meeting with clients in the field.
This varied and fast-paced Sales Account Manager role will include the following roles and responsibilities; - Identifying suitable leads – Making outbound sales calls to generate new business opportunities – Arranging meetings with prospective clients and meeting in person or virtually – Meeting and exceeding set targets and KPIs – Accurately logging client information using the internal CRM system – Negotiating pricing models for clients in line with gross profit margins – Actively account manage a portfolio of accounts acting as the lead contact – Ensuring any queries and concerns from clients are addressed – Regularly review each client account to ensure positive business performance and successfully maintaining relationships – Working with internal teams to ensure payments are made and that credit limits are correct – Other duties as required by management
We would love to hear from candidates who have the following skills and experience – Confidence and experience in sales and account management – Resilience to work a fast-paced and pressurised sales and account management role – Proven experience of working to targets and KPIs – A background in freight forwarding is advantageous but not essential – Excellent experience working within sales or telesales – Previous exposure to overland operations, transport or logistics sector (courier/parcel networks experience will also be considered)- Motivated by success and financial reward – Fantastic communication skills both verbal and written – Passionate and motivated – Dedicated to managing a portfolio of clients – Ability to work well under pressure within a targeted environment – Personable and values driven –Eagar to progress within the company -Full UK driving licence
