We are delighted to represent our client in their quest to find an experienced Operations Manager to join their thriving team. This is a particularly exciting time for an Operations Manager to join the company due to expansion and the opening of a second site (also located in the city centre). The Operations Manager will be responsible for both sites.
As Operations Manager across Sheffield Technology Parks and Leah’s Yard, you’ll be responsible for 2 of the city’s most exciting buildings. The Tech Parks – with its range of specialist Lab facilities, coworking and office studios – is the home of innovation and start-ups for the City. Global businesses are grown right there and you’ll be in the midst of hustlers, innovators and inventors. Coupled with that, Leah’s Yard is a landmark historical asset bang in the middle of Sheffield’s renewed City Centre. Already announced as tenants are artist Pete McKee, beer-lovers favourite Hop Hideout and La Biblioteka bookshop, with more to be confirmed. This diverse range of independent business alongside creatives in the upper floor studios will be the best place to work, eat and shop. This role requires an experienced Operations Manager who is confident managing facilities, finance, events and working closely and collaboratively with senior managers. We are looking to speak to candidates that are commercially astute and thrive working in an extremely fast-paced and varied role.
Key duties and responsibilities the successful candidate will be responsible for include the following; - Managing all building operations across both sites – Conducting a comprehensive review across both sites of current maintenance and facilities -Responsible for maintenance and facilities staff – Develop and maintain efficient operational processes – Management of enhancing productivity and occupier satisfaction across both sites – Confident managing health and safety including ensuring both buildings are fully compliant – Overseeing weekly and monthly invoicing ensuring accuracy – Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and Occupants to manage any invoice discrepancies – Responsibility for budgets for both buildings requirements – Close management and monitoring of expenditure across both sites – Streamlining and overseeing occupants move ins and outs – Reviewing monthly sales performance across both sites – Working closely and collaboratively with external Accountants and internal teams including senior managers across the business – Establishing clear communication channels with suppliers to ensure efficient procurement processes – Overseeing of payroll – Implementation of a structured feedback system to gather occupier and client feedback regularly – Providing ongoing training and development opportunities for all of the team – Conducting quarterly reviews with the team
We would love to hear from experienced Operations Managers that have the following skills and experience; - Proven experience within Operations Management – Excellent finance experience including payroll and invoicing – Commercially astute – Confident managing budgets – Familiar with managing facilities and maintenance – Confident managing health and safety – Exceptional leadership experience – Passionate about leading a team and providing training and development opportunities – Exceptional communication skills – Ability to collaborate cross functionally across teams – Excellent supplier management experience – Strong work ethic – Solution-oriented mindset – Confident using Xero – Fully IT literate including the full suite of MS Office
