Monday-Thursday 8.45 – 4.45

The Salary:

£27,500 to £35,000 DOE

Bonus up to £150 per month

 

The Job Role:

 

Due to expansion within our clients thriving engineering business, we have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced sales professional.

 

Working within the busy sales team, the successful candidate as Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing their sales area and building excellent working relationships with their account base.

 

This will be an extremely busy and fast paced role and is well suited to candidates that are sales and target focussed, as well as excellent account managers.

 

Duties will include the following;

 

  • Liaising with customers – new and existing
  • Liaising with customers regarding their enquiry/project
  • Providing quotations in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all customer and quotation details are logged on the company CRM system
  • Processing customer orders
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure orders are processed, manufactured and dispatched on time
  • Work collaboratively with purchasing department to ensure pricing and lead time information is accurately passed onto customers
  • Working collaboratively with distributors and agents
  • Managing agents in assigned sales area  
  • Travelling abroad (approx. every 6-8 week) to present information to new customers as well as account management for existing customers
  • Planning and preparing presentations
  • Working collaboratively with the sales support team
  • Achieving goals and KPIs
  • Other duties as directed by management

 

The successful candidate will receive full training on the company’s product base – Applicants that have experience working within manufacturing/engineering will be at an advantage but this is not an essential requirement. Full training will be provided to the successful Area Sales Manager.

  • Sales and Account Management skills – ideally 2-5 years’ experience
  • Proven sales experience

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
  • Always working in the client’s best interest
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Flexibility
  • Willingness to travel abroad to meet customers
  • Strong IT skills including the full suite of MS Office. Candidates that have experience of using SAGE will be at an advantage
  • Engineering/Manufacturing experience would be an advantage – full training will be provided
